Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 September 2026
ZeroCyber (ABN 48 146 931 869), run by Patrick Gold, helps people and small businesses stay safe online. Protecting your information is the whole point of what we do, so this page explains in plain English what we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us by email or phone, such as your name, email address, phone number and your message.
- Booking and billing details, such as the service you booked, invoices and payment records. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
- Information we see while helping you, such as which devices, apps and accounts you use, and the security settings on them.
What we don't collect
- We don't keep your passwords. When we set up a password manager, you create and hold the master password yourself.
- We don't keep copies of your MFA recovery codes. We help you store them somewhere safe that you control.
- We don't copy your files, photos or messages.
- The website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange your session.
- To deliver the service you paid for, including follow-up check-ups.
- To send invoices and keep the records the law requires.
We don't sell your information, and we won't send you marketing unless you ask for it.
Who we share it with
We only share information with services we need to run the business, such as our email provider, website host, and payment and accounting providers. Some of these may store data outside Australia. We choose reputable providers and only give them what they need. We'll also share information if the law requires it.
How we protect it
We practise what we teach: our accounts use strong unique passwords and multi-factor authentication, our devices are kept updated and encrypted, and we only keep what we need.
How long we keep it
We keep records for as long as we're working with you, and afterwards only as long as needed for tax and legal reasons, usually up to 7 years for financial records. Other information is deleted when it's no longer needed.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please email us first and we'll try to fix it. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
